Media planning is one of the specialization courses that I need to fulfil as my specialization is strategic communication. It was a blessing because we could meet face-to-face with one another for a few classes before COVID-19 was announced. Dr. Rizalawati is one of the best lecturers in IIUM as all topics that we learnt in this class somehow made me impressed and enthusiastic to learn more. The way she delivered her speech and message, the way she taught, were really perfect and interesting even though it was online learning. I wish that I could learn and met her for another subject, yet it was the only one I met her.

   When I remembered, my group was the only one that had 2 people in a team, while the others got 3 to 4 people in a team. Yet, after a few days, a Chinese student was registered in this class and she was in our team. I am glad to have my team members as all of them were hardworking, punctual, and creative in terms of ideas. We were asked to do a business proposal and a media plan document pertaining to the project that we decided to choose. Madam said that please do a project that you can imagine was the real one. The project must be really comprehensive with detailed planning as well as aware of the current pandemic. Thus, my team has come out with the topic of food & beverage festival that would be held in IIUM, and sponsored by a few big organizations. 

 

   I could say, I was really satisfied with our work as I did multiple checks before submitting the documents. A good teammate also brings us to a good level. I learnt on how to do a business proposal, media plan document, gantt chart, media plan proposed, media scheduling, and many more. My other classmates also referred to me to have a better understanding of the assignment given. Here is the project that we made. Even though it has not yet turned to be the real execution, I hope one day I could make one.
