This was my first time joining Pesta Pantun Wilayah Persektuan Kuala Lumpur in 2015 with the guidance and training by Ustaz Shaiful (practical training teacher). I learnt a lot about the new phrases in Bahasa Melayu like keris kersani, duduk termanggu, burung kedidi, pohon cendana, and many more. My malay language phrases became more varied due to joining this competition.

 

   It also has boosted my confidence level to communicate effectively in front of the huge audiences. Primary school taught me to be brave on the stage, yet my secondary school really taught me to be well-performed on the stage to attract the audience's attention. My skills have been developed and polished gradually with the assistance and guidance from my respective teachers.

   It was a memorable event to be remembered because my team has met the defending champion of pantun which is students from SMK Zon R1. It was glad for me to know them better, to know the way they controlled the opponent and won the competition. It was a golden chance and opportunity for me to join this competition before I graduated from secondary school.
