In 2017, after I was declared as an undergraduate student of International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), I took the opportunity to go to an audition of a radio announcer at IIUMFM. It was a blessing when I received news that I was chosen to be one of the radio announcers even though I was just a first year first semester student. I was responsible for an entertaining slot named “Eat What” which is makan apa. It is a slot whereby we are talking about Malaysian business organizations specifically food and beverage companies in Kuala Lumpur.

 

   For your information, this slot has 3 radio announcers and 1 producer. In conducting the interview session, I learnt a lot in terms of the way they were handling their business, how they were developed, how the idea came out, and all those things that contributed to their success. The combination of my skill of entrepreneurship and the experience shared by the guests would liven up the conversation. We also made food reviews and uploaded it in the IIUMFM social media account. We initiated this as a token of appreciation to the guests that were willingly accepting our offer to be invited in our slot.

   As a team of Eat What’s slot, the radio announcers were given other tasks by our producer which are (1) Contacting the guests (public relation); (2) Designing poster; and (3) Editing video and audio podcasts. Thus, we were acknowledged to do some important things behind the scene. Praise to Allah, I hold a position as a radio announcer from 2017 until 2020.  Here, I attached a few posters and videos that I had experienced in the interview session with them:
