I felt honoured to be selected as a top 5 dean’s list final year student in IIUM. To be frank, it was very challenging for me to go through the Open and Distance Learning (ODL) for about 2 semesters due to COVID-19. The course assessments were tough and heavy. It is also a gap to communicate with my respective lecturers and groupmates. Generally, I was not satisfied with online learning because I couldn’t feel the presence of others physically. There is no enjoyment and satisfaction of learning that I was looking for. Yet, due to the current situation, I need to adapt with it. Everyone struggles including me, lecturers, and friends. I still wanted to be a goal-driven person. Hence, here are my tips to sustain my CGPA as well as be active in the other activities:

1. Manage to-do-list for every day.

2. Jot down every single thing that needs to be settled down.

3. Do not procrastinate works.

4. Always ask and consult with lecturers.

5. Find and stick in the right circle. BUT (you can always do NETWORKING to widen your understanding and views). 

6. Pay full attention in online class. If you missed one, please ask your friends for notes and re-watch the recorded lecture. 

 

   Alhamdulillah, hard work paid off. I appreciated those help from lecturers and team members for the group project. Good teamwork will bring us to the next level isn’t it? Without them, I couldn’t receive this recognition from IIUM.
